Drink Draw Donate

Tuesday, December 10

The Daily Grind Cafe & Art Bar (lower level), 1479 Birmingham St, Halifax, NS B3J 1G8

Join us downstairs of The Daily Grind Cafe and Art Bar. Happy hour runs until 8pm so you have two hours to get into spirits on a budget. They also serve yummy cafe drinks and other non-alcoholic options if that’s your jam!

Bring a sketchbook, ipad, laptop or napkin and work in the company others. If you’re a designer, photographer, or other creative that doesn’t draw, fret not! You are welcomed to come. The ‘draw’ part was more about the alliteration than anything else. Don’t have anything to work? Please, do come. Our meetups are about bringing creative people together. There’s always someone ready to chat about what inspires them, their techniques or just what it’s like surviving as an artist in Halifax. We’d love to have you!

We are taking cash and non-perishable food items for Feed Nova Scotia. The holiday season can be a stressful enough time without worrying about putting food on the table, so let’s combine forces to help others out.

Feed Nova Scotia thrives on food donations, but they can make actual dollars stretch much further than you’d think. Therefore, we encourage money donations such as $5.00 but if you feel more comfortable donating non-perishables, here are their most needed items:

  • soupĀ and stew
  • canned meat and fish
  • canned vegetables and fruit
  • pasta and rice
  • pasta sauce
  • peanut butter
  • cereal
  • fresh or frozen vegetables and meat
  • formula and baby food
  • powdered and canned milk
  • new, unopened personal hygiene and household items.
  • nutritious food donations that help make up part of a main meal

As usual, the event is 19+. We look forward to seeing you there!
